Taylor Area Neighborhood Association

The Taylor Area Neighborhood Association has been instrumental in the recent reopening of Taylor Elementary School, which was destroyed in the flood of 2008. Prior to the flood, the neighborhood’s president, Amy Buelow, has directed the Tiger Cub Kids Club – a before- and after-school program during the school year and all-day summer youth program for students at Taylor Elementary. Now that the Cedar Rapids Neighborhoods has a highly qualified professional grant writer working for the neighborhoods, TANA hopes to secure enough funding to build a community center within the neighborhood for future programs and services to be provided to its residents.
